My name is Yael Wolfe and as you can guess, I'm a bit feral. If you invite me in, you'll be sure to find bits of dirt and twigs in your carpet after I've gone…
Since I was a little girl, I have longed to capture the beauty and wildness of the earth - and all the beautiful wild women on it - through my writing, art, and photography. I write novels about sexually-liberated women, essays about sex, nature, love, and feminism, and fairy tales about women's wild and deep spiritual journeys.
Though I knew this path would be deeply fulfilling and magical, I did not expect how much it would genuinely change my life. There are two things that I've learned from my work:
A sexually empowered woman is unstoppable.
and
Women will never be able to fully embody their power until we give the earth back Her sovereignty.
I think on some level, I always knew this. Even as a child, wandering the pine-scented woods of the San Bernardino Mountains, feeling aroused by the energy of creation, I knew that my own power as a female was tied to the power of nature. I didn't just belong in that forest - it belonged in me.
And I would only ever be free when it was free.
It's not too late for us - not for women and not for the earth. Yes, we have pushed the Sacred Feminine to the brink of Her existence. But there is no greater strength in this universe than that of a woman coming back to life and demanding the sovereignty that rightfully belongs to her.
My work is a celebration of that sovereignty. A calling forth of the power of the Sacred Feminine. A love letter to the world that created us that we are now re-creating. A summoning of our wildness. Our wholeness.
We are strong. We are powerful. We are free.
